Logistics Prowess

We provide conceirge-level logistics support for each of our customer shipments, easing the extraordinary challenge of supply chain management that retailers face, especially in light of the pandemic.

Relying on our network of shippers, freight forwarders, and rail and trucking lines across the globe, we seek multiple quotes for each leg of every shipment. This approach maximizes our options for delivery time and price, allowing us to make the best selection based on customer requirements. Our staff monitors the progress of every shipment, from factory door to your door. If problems arise, we know immediately, take corrective action, and we keep you informed.

Customer Service Example

During fall 2020, a $1 million shipment was due to arrive in Las Vegas for use at a trade show. If the order arrived late, it would be of no use to the customer. When the shipment got held up at a port in California, our logistics staff jumped into action. We ultimately identified a high-level port executive who, understanding the gravity of the problem, intervened to get the shipment released in time for the trade show.

AnnJoy is CTPAT certified—here’s why it matters

Getting your international shipments to you faster, more predictably, and at minimal cost is important to us. That’s why we invest in maintaining AnnJoy’s certification in the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program.

A selective and rigorous program run by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Service, CTPAT is open only to members of the trade community who, like AnnJoy, work to maintain and enhance excellence in supply chain security practices, and who have had no significant security related events.

Benefits of this stringent program, include:

  • Reduced number of CBP examinations;

  • Shorter wait times at the border and front of the line inspections (ahead of non-CTPAT shipments);

  • Access to the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) Lanes at land borders;

  • Expedited clearance of sea vessels through the Advanced Qualified Unlading Approval Pilot lane ("AQUA Lane");

  • Priority entrance of goods following a natural disaster or terrorist attack; and

  • Expedited screening with worldwide security partners from some of the foreign customs administrations that have signed Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) with the US.
